How Many QB's Can be Sacked... OFF the Field?

"Laws made by common consent must not be trampled on by individuals." -  George Washington

Well, well, well... it looks like April 25th is black Monday for quarterbacks in the National Football League.  We begin with example A - Tom Brady.  So it looks like the New England Patriots golden boy will, in fact, be slapped with a 4-game suspension afterall.  Yes, boys and girls, Deflategate rears its ugly head yet again.  Look.. somehow... someway those damn gameballs were fucked with.  Let's all just agree on that.  Wether or not Brady knew or didn't know.. I really don't care.  But... as they say, do the crime, do the time.  That means (barring an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court) Brady won't hit the field this season until Week 5 versus Cleveland.  Start pittying the Browns right now.

So having said that we move on to example B - Johnny Manziel.  Good Ol' Johnny Football will be indicted by a Dallas County Grand Jury for a misdemeanor charge in connection to the alleged assault of his Ex-Girlfriend.  If it's true or not true... really doesn't matter.  What does matter is this kid NEEDS HELP.  Who the fuck is wrangling this kid?  'Cause to me it looks like NO ONE is keeping tabs on this currently out-of-work quarterback.  Two agents have dumped him.  Nike just did it.. and punted his endorsement deal.  He needs Dr. Phil on line one STAT.  Memo to Manziel - get help... and soon.

So, too, can that be said for the National Football League.  And that leads me to example C - Sam Bradford.  When your franchise, in this case the Philadelphia Eagles, says they have the utmost confidence and espouse that "You're our guy" while ALSO spending draft picks and money to move UP to more-than-likely go after a stud quarterback...  I could see how that would make you a tinge unhappy.   BUT.. it could be like the Green Bay Packers where they want him to start and help mold the next QB.  But is he standing for that?  No, Sir!  Ol' Sammy is saying trade my ass right now.  Nevermind that he was quick to sign a lucrative contract with the Eagles earlier this season.  Look, I kinda see where he's coming from.  But when they say "You're our guy!" and you've already got a year into the franchise, would you really want to start over somewhere else AGAIN?  Moving sucks, Sam.  Cash your checks, suck it up, and stay where you signed on to be.  - MO
